Watch short dramas online: the official sites that play in a browser
Short answer
Eight short drama apps have official websites that played episodes in a browser on October 6, 2026: GoodShort (9 free on the series we opened), ReelShort (13), NetShort (9, no sign-in), DramaWave (browser player, free count unverified), FlickReels (10), Shortical (13), StoryReel (about 10) and VibeShort (6). ReelShort, NetShort, GoodShort and Shortical also sell web plans, cancelled on the site. TotalShort, our app, does not play in a browser: it's Android-only for now.
You can watch short dramas online, in a computer or phone browser, on the official websites of GoodShort, ReelShort, NetShort, DramaWave, FlickReels, Shortical, StoryReel and VibeShort; each played free episodes when we checked on October 6, 2026. TotalShort, listed first, does not play in a browser: it's an Android app on Google Play, with an iPhone version coming soon. The eight websites after it are ordered by their app's number of US App Store ratings.
Where to watch, site by site
1. TotalShort (our app, but app-only)
We put it first because it's ours, and we'd rather tell you the limit up front than have you search for a web player that doesn't exist. TotalShort runs only in its Android app (Google Play listing read October 15, 2026). If you have an Android phone, the deal is simple: the first 8 episodes of every series free, then 1 free episode a day per series, no sign-up, and 30 coins (€0.30) for any other episode. Six Italian series, made with AI and labeled, with subtitles in 13 languages.
If you're on a computer or an iPhone, one of the sites below is the way to watch today.
Best for: Android users who don't need a big screen. TotalShort review
2. GoodShort (goodshort.com)
On October 6, 2026 we opened Don's Back: No One Touches His Daughter (51 episodes) on goodshort.com as a visitor: episodes 1 to 9 were free, and the next ones cost 46 to 56 coins each. The site's interface comes in 13 languages, and it sells coins directly, with a banner claiming "10% extra value vs the app", which we didn't test. Plans bought on the site are managed on its own Manage Subscription page. The app holds 4.9 from 527K US ratings.
Best for: checking every episode's price in the list before unlocking. GoodShort review
3. ReelShort (reelshort.com)
reelshort.com plays episodes with subtitles in 14 languages. On October 6, 2026, Don't Miss Me When I'm Gone (63 episodes) played 1 to 13 free; from 14 each episode cost 60 coins. The site sells its own plans: weekly VIP at $9.99 the first week, then $19.99; monthly $29.99; yearly $199.99. Those are billed by Crazy Maple Studio, not Apple or Google. The app holds 4.7 from 504K US ratings.
Best for: binge-watching on a laptop with a large catalog. ReelShort review
4. NetShort (netshort.com)
netshort.com let us watch without signing in at all. On October 6, 2026, The Day I Got Divorced, My Billionaire Mom Found Me (50 episodes) played episodes 1 to 9 free; from 10 each carried a lock at 50 coins, about $0.50. The site sells coins (1,000 for $9.99) and VIP at $24.99 a week or $149.99 a year, paid by Apple Pay, Google Pay or card. Web plans are cancelled from the Me page at least 24 hours before billing.
Best for: trying a series with no account. NetShort review
5. DramaWave (m.mydramawave.com)
DramaWave's main site, mydramawave.com, links to the app stores, but m.mydramawave.com is a browser player: on October 6, 2026 we started the first episode of a series there, with English subtitles, without installing anything. We couldn't confirm how many episodes are free on the web or what it charges there, so check the first locked episode. Its terms do provide for purchases on its own website. The app holds 4.9 from 180K US ratings.
Best for: watching with subtitles in many languages. DramaWave review
6. FlickReels (flickreels.net)
flickreels.net played episodes 1 to 10 of the series we checked on October 6, 2026; from episode 12 the page said "You need to download APP to watch this episode". The website doesn't sell memberships, so the web is a free sample and paying happens in the app (Weekly Membership from $12.99 on the US App Store). The app holds 4.8 from 105,513 US ratings.
Best for: a free ten-episode sample with no payment page in the way. FlickReels review
7. Shortical (shortical.com)
shortical.com both plays episodes and sells its own plans. Room Service said "Episodes 1–13 are free", at about 110 seconds each. Opening episode 14 asked for an email and showed web plans under "CHEAPER THAN IN THE APP" with an 8-minute countdown: one week at $7.99, then $15.00 a week. That renewal is above the app's $9.99 weekly VIP. Web plans are cancelled under Profile > Unsubscribe. The app holds 4.7 from 53,798 US ratings.
Best for: watching at a desk, if you read the renewal price. Shortical review
8. StoryReel (storyreel.life)
storyreel.life plays the first episodes of each series in the browser: on October 6, 2026, one series ran 11 episodes on the site and another fewer than 10. After that the page shows "Continue Exploring Stories on StoryReel" and a "Get the App" button. There are no web plans, so nothing on the site can renew. The app holds 4.8 from 46,541 US ratings and is rated 18+, and its terms say minors must not use it.
Best for: adults sampling mafia and billionaire stories before installing. StoryReel review
9. VibeShort (vibeshort.live)
vibeshort.live played the first 6 episodes free on both series we checked on October 6, 2026; from episode 7 the page said "Continue Watching AI Dramas on VibeShort" with a "Get the App" button. The site doesn't sell passes, so the web is a sample only. VibeShort's listing calls it an AI-powered app, and it's rated 18+, with 4.7 from 46,267 US ratings. In the app, the Weekly Pass Pro is listed from $4.99.
Best for: a quick look at AI-made dramas in a browser. VibeShort review
Sites that don't play episodes
DramaBox's website, checked October 6, 2026, is a catalog of titles that sends you to the app. CandyJar's help center says "There isn't a browser or website option for streaming", though it has Apple TV and Roku apps. FlareFlow's site holds its terms and policies, with no player. Pages promising "full episodes free online" for these apps aren't run by their developers.
How we picked
A site made the list only if we played at least one episode on the app's official website on October 6, 2026, as a visitor. Order follows the app's US App Store rating count. TotalShort is first because it's ours, and labeled app-only because that's the truth. Web paywalls change, so the number of free episodes may differ on other series. Method details are on how we rate; the full list is on the home page and the compare page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I watch short dramas online for free?
Yes, legally, on the official sites above: from 6 to 13 free episodes on the series we opened, where we could count them. After that you pay on the site, where ReelShort, NetShort, GoodShort and Shortical sell plans, or you're sent to the app. Unofficial "free online" sites that re-upload whole series infringe the makers' rights and can lead to scams.
Can I watch TotalShort in a browser?
No. TotalShort plays only in its Android app, on Google Play. The iPhone version is coming soon to the App Store. If you're on a computer, the sites above are where to watch today; on Android, the app gives the first 8 episodes of every series free and then 1 a day per series. More in our TotalShort review.
Can I watch DramaBox online?
Not on its official site, as far as we could see: on October 6, 2026, dramabox.com was a catalog with links to the app, and it didn't say episodes play in the browser. Sites promising "DramaBox full episodes free" are copies. For apps like DramaBox that do have web players, see our apps like DramaBox list.
Do website subscriptions cancel like app subscriptions?
No. A plan bought on ReelShort's, NetShort's, GoodShort's or Shortical's website is billed by that company, not by Apple or Google, so it won't show in your phone's subscription settings. Cancel it in your account on the website. Our cancellation guide covers both cases. ReelShort's terms add that it emails a renewal reminder every six months for web plans.
Is it safe to pay on a short drama website?
On the developer's own domain, it can be: NetShort, ReelShort, GoodShort and Shortical all sell plans on their sites. The risk is look-alike pages on other domains that ask for card details to "unlock VIP". Check the address, never pay through a link from a comment or chat, and read the renewal price, not just the first-week offer.
Do I need an account to watch online?
Not always. NetShort let us watch as a visitor with no sign-in. Shortical asked for an email when we opened a locked episode, to save progress. Paying on a site ties the purchase to your login there, and Shortical's terms say you're responsible for purchases made with it. On a shared computer, sign out when you finish.
