Every fact about VibeShort below comes from its US App Store listing, terms of service, recharge agreement or website, with read dates.

The short verdict

VibeShort is a legitimate, fast-growing app that is upfront about what it is: AI-generated short dramas, plus reels and interactive comic-style stories. If that's what you're after, it delivers it at scale, and the website lets you try six episodes of a series without installing anything.

The money side needs attention. The weekly pass appears at three prices, bonus coins have an expiry date, and coin purchases are essentially non-refundable. The yearly pass is the only plan where the weekly cost drops low.

What is VibeShort and who makes it

VibeShort bundles short dramas, reels, TV series and interactive comic-style stories in one vertical app. Episodes run 1 to 2 minutes, according to the listing, which also says new dramas arrive daily and that episodes can be downloaded for offline viewing. Genres include romance, billionaire romance, werewolf fantasy, revenge, time travel, sci-fi and comedy.

Is VibeShort AI?

Yes, and it says so plainly. The listing describes VibeShort as an AI-powered short-drama app with AI-generated tales, and the terms of service have a section on AI-generated content (AIGC), warning that such content is produced from algorithms and training data and may not always be accurate. Our AI short drama apps list covers other apps in this group.

How much VibeShort costs

US App Store prices

Item US price
Weekly Pass Pro (purchase list) $4.99, $9.99, $19.99
One-time purchases (coins) $3.49, $19.99
Yearly Pro Pass (named in the description) $149.99 a year

Read on October 6, 2026. The description itself spells out a weekly pro pass valid for 7 days at $19.99, auto-renewing at $19.99, and a yearly pass at $149.99. The cheaper weekly prices appear in the purchase list without any note on who is offered them.

What a pass includes

The terms say a subscription gives free viewing, no ads with the exception of incentive ads, and 1080p resolution. Put the other way: the free version shows ads, and ads you choose to watch for rewards remain even with a pass.

Example: three months on the full weekly price

Plain arithmetic at the $19.99 weekly price stated in the description: 12 × $19.99 = $239.88 over twelve weeks. That is $89.89 more than the $149.99 yearly pass, which covers a full year. Prices vary by country and over time; check the amount on the payment sheet. For background on coin systems, see our coins guide.

What's free

Downloading is free, and so are the first episodes of each series. The terms describe two balances: gold coins, which you buy, and bonus, which you earn. Gold coins are spent first, then bonus.

Bonus has a shelf life

The terms say bonus has an expiration date, shown in My Wallet, after which it expires automatically. So earned coins are worth using rather than saving. Purchased gold coins carry no expiry in the terms, but they can't be transferred or refunded.

Free episodes in the browser

The website, vibeshort.live, plays episodes in a browser. On October 6, 2026, both series we checked played their first 6 episodes on the site. From episode 7, the page prompted us to continue in the app. The website doesn't sell passes, so there is nothing to buy or cancel there. Our page on watching short dramas online compares browser options.

Unofficial copies

Reuploads of VibeShort series and modified versions of the app are not official and are a common route to malware and stolen accounts. See free short drama apps for legal routes.

Is it legit and safe

Yes. VibeShort has a named company with a registered address, terms of service, a privacy policy, a separate user recharge agreement, a support email, and 46,267 US ratings in its first months on the store. Payments go through Apple or Google. Searches about a "VibeShort scam" are about charges and cancelling, not fraud.

What to watch:

  • Several prices for one pass. Read the amount on the payment sheet, not a price you saw elsewhere.
  • Coins aren't refunded. The recharge agreement (last updated March 9, 2026) says refunds or changes won't be entertained unless the product or service is unusable.
  • Bonus expires. Check the date in My Wallet.
  • 18+. The app isn't meant for teenagers under its own terms.

How to cancel VibeShort

Passes bought in the app are billed by Apple or Google. The listing tells you to manage or cancel through your Apple account's subscription settings. Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel the pass.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Pick the app, then Cancel Subscription.

Apple: Cancel a subscription from Apple

Android

  1. Open Google Play and tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Pick the app, then Cancel subscription.

Google: Cancel a subscription on Google Play

Deleting the app does not cancel anything. If you paid on the app's website, cancel on that website.

Official steps: Apple at support.apple.com/en-us/118428, Google at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481. Turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends; you keep the pass until then.

If you can't find it

Check that you're signed in with the Apple or Google account that paid. Your emailed receipt names it. There is no phone line; the listed support contact is service@vibeshort.live.

Refunds

Store purchases are refunded, if at all, by Apple (support.apple.com/en-us/118223) or Google Play, under their own rules. VibeShort's own recharge agreement only allows refunds when a product is unusable. Cancel first so the next renewal doesn't go through. Our cancellation guide has the steps for other apps.

Who it suits

VibeShort suits you if:

  • You are an adult and actively want AI-generated drama.
  • You like variety: dramas, reels and interactive comic-style stories in one place.
  • You'll commit to the yearly pass rather than paying week by week.

It is a weaker fit if you want a single clear weekly price, if you like saving up free coins, or if a teenager uses the phone.

VibeShort vs TotalShort

TotalShort is our app, so read this as a maker's comparison. The two have something real in common: both are AI short drama apps. VibeShort says so on its store listing; every TotalShort series is made with AI and carries an "AI series" label, with no real actors.

The differences:

  • Browser. VibeShort's website plays the first episodes of a series; TotalShort doesn't play in a browser. TotalShort is on Google Play for Android now, and the iPhone version is coming soon to the App Store, not yet available.
  • Free viewing. TotalShort gives the first 8 episodes of every series free, plus 1 free episode a day per series.
  • Coins. TotalShort's coins never expire, and nothing unlocks without your confirmation. VibeShort's earned bonus expires.
  • Pricing. TotalShort VIP is €5.99 a week or €59.99 a year, billed by Google Play, with no free trials that turn into charges.
  • Age. TotalShort is rated Teen on Google Play; VibeShort is 18+.
  • Setting. TotalShort's six series are all set in Italy, with Italian audio and subtitles in 13 languages; some series also have English audio.

Our limits: six series against VibeShort's large catalogue, Android only for now, Italian audio as the default, and no public rating yet because the app is brand new. More detail in the TotalShort review, and another AI-leaning app in our FlickReels review.

Frequently asked questions

Is VibeShort AI-generated?

Yes. VibeShort's US App Store listing calls it an AI-powered short-drama app with AI-generated tales, and its terms of service include a section on AI-generated content that warns it may not always be accurate. The app also offers interactive comic-style stories and reels alongside the dramas. If you're looking for AI drama, that's the product; if you want to avoid AI, this isn't the app for you.

How much does VibeShort cost per week?

The US listing, read October 6, 2026, shows the Weekly Pass Pro at $4.99, $9.99 and $19.99. The description states $19.99 a week, auto-renewing, and a Yearly Pro Pass at $149.99. One-time coin purchases are listed at $3.49 and $19.99. The listing doesn't say who gets the lower weekly prices, so read your payment screen. Prices also vary by country.

Do VibeShort coins expire?

Earned bonus does. The terms say bonus has an expiration date shown in My Wallet and expires automatically after it. Purchased gold coins have no expiry stated in the terms, but they can't be transferred or refunded. Gold coins are spent before bonus, so if you hold both, your bonus may run out unused. Use earned coins soon after you get them.

How do I cancel my VibeShort subscription?

On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, VibeShort, Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play, profile icon, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, VibeShort, Cancel subscription. Do it at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid another charge, and you'll keep the pass until then. Deleting the app does nothing, and the website doesn't sell passes, so there's nothing to cancel there.

Can I watch VibeShort in a browser?

Partly. On October 6, 2026, the website vibeshort.live played the first 6 episodes of both series we checked. From episode 7, it asked us to continue in the app. The site doesn't sell passes or coins, so the rest of each series is only available inside the iPhone or Android app.

Can I get a refund from VibeShort?

VibeShort's user recharge agreement says refunds or changes won't be entertained unless the product or service is unusable. If you paid through the App Store or Google Play, you can still ask the store, which applies its own refund rules and makes the decision. Cancel the subscription first, so a renewal doesn't go through while you wait for an answer.

Is VibeShort suitable for teenagers?

No, by its own rules. The App Store rates VibeShort 18+, and the terms require users to be 18 or the age of majority where they live, with minors only under adult supervision. Parents can block mature apps with Google Play parental controls, explained at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1626831, or with Screen Time on iPhone.
