FlexTV app review: is it legit, and what the subscription costs

Short answer

FlexTV is a short drama app published by YUDER PTE. LTD., a company using the Singapore private company form Pte. Ltd. Its US App Store listing (read October 15, 2026) shows 4.49 stars from 7,450 ratings and a 13+ age rating. Weekly VIP is listed at $29.99 and Monthly VIP at $49.99, plus one-time purchases from $4.99 to $29.99 whose contents aren't described. The listing doesn't say how many episodes are free. A different app called FLEXTV, from FLEXUP CO.,LTD, is not the same product, so check the seller name before installing.

What's good

  • 4.49 stars from 7,450 US ratings
  • On the App Store since October 2022, updated October 2026
  • 15 interface languages listed
  • Cast to TV and playback speed listed as features

Watch out for

  • Easy to confuse with a different app called FLEXTV

FlexTV is a real, regularly updated app from a named seller, with a weekly plan at the top of the price range we've recorded. First, make sure you have the right app: another one has almost the same name.

What FlexTV is

On the US App Store, the app is listed as "FlexTV: Short Drama, Reels, TV". The seller is YUDER PTE. LTD.; "Pte. Ltd." is the form used by private limited companies in Singapore. FlexTV arrived on the App Store on October 20, 2022, and version 4.8.9 came out on October 11, 2026.

The developer calls it a "next-gen vertical streaming platform" with "exclusive short dramas, reels, movies, and mini TV series". The genres it names are modern romance, slice of life, suspense, time travel, CEO, billionaire, werewolf and warrior stories. It also says it carries "Western hits, K-dramas, J-dramas, C-dramas, and Southeast Asian favorites – all fully licensed", with multilingual subtitles. Licensing and exclusivity are the company's claims, which we can't check.

Trending titles on the listing include "Mr. Williams! Madame Is Dying", "A Flash Marriage With The Billionaire Tycoon" and "Spoiled by My CEO Husband". The developer says "new episodes drop daily".

How much a FlexTV subscription costs

Prices on the US App Store listing

Purchase (name as listed) US price
Weekly VIP $29.99
Monthly VIP $49.99
One-time Purchase $4.99
One-time Purchase $9.99
One-time Purchase $14.99 (listed twice)
One-time Purchase $19.99 (listed twice)
One-time Purchase $29.99
$9.99 package $9.99

The two VIP plans are subscriptions, billed to your Apple ID and renewing automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.

The one-time purchases are vaguer: the listing doesn't say what each contains, and the "$9.99 package" isn't explained. We won't guess. The payment sheet shows what you're buying before you confirm, and prices differ by country and change over time.

On the weekly plan, $29.99 equals the highest weekly line we've recorded across the apps in our dataset. MoboReels and NetShort also list a weekly line at $29.99.

Example: weekly or monthly VIP

Our own arithmetic, using the US listing prices, for someone who wants VIP for about a month:

  • Weekly VIP kept four weeks: 4 × $29.99 = $119.96.
  • Monthly VIP once: $49.99, assuming it covers a month as its name says.
  • Difference: $69.97 in favor of the monthly plan.

Weekly VIP suits a short burst: one week, then cancel. For longer, the monthly line costs less than two weekly renewals. Check the period on the payment sheet before confirming either. Our list of the cheapest short drama apps compares weekly plans across apps.

What's free on FlexTV

The download is free. Beyond that, the listing doesn't say how many episodes you can watch without paying, or what a one-time purchase unlocks. We haven't verified either, so we won't print a number.

Open the series you want, see where the first lock falls, and compare the cost of the rest with one VIP period cancelled straight away. Our guide on how coins work shows how to do that sum, and the free short drama apps list covers apps that publish a free allowance.

Sites that promise FlexTV dramas free, or "unlimited" VIP, aren't run by the publisher. They're a common route to malware and card theft.

Is FlexTV legit and safe?

Yes, in the basic sense: a named seller on the official App Store since 2022, an update days before we read it, and 4.49 stars from 7,450 US ratings. Apple handles payment, so the app never sees your card.

The name trap: FlexTV vs FLEXTV

The App Store also has an app called "FLEXTV", published by FLEXUP CO.,LTD. It's a different app from a different company. Before you install or pay, check that the seller line reads YUDER PTE. LTD. If it names anyone else, you're looking at another product, with its own prices and terms.

Points worth weighing

  • Age rating. 13+ on the App Store page. On a teen's phone, spending is the bigger concern than content.
  • Weekly renewal. At $29.99 a week, a forgotten plan adds up fast.
  • Unlabeled purchases. Seven one-time lines plus a "$9.99 package" with no description make it easy to buy something you didn't mean to.

For help, the listing points to My, then Customer Support inside the app, or the email service@flextv.cc. On shared phones, Apple's Screen Time purchase controls and Google Play's purchase verification stop accidental buys. Our guide on whether short drama apps are safe has a fuller checklist.

How to cancel FlexTV

A FlexTV VIP bought on iPhone is billed to your Apple ID, so you cancel it in Apple's subscription settings. Deleting the app doesn't stop the charges.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Pick the app, then Cancel Subscription.

Apple: Cancel a subscription from Apple

Android

  1. Open Google Play and tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Pick the app, then Cancel subscription.

Google: Cancel a subscription on Google Play

Deleting the app does not cancel anything. If you paid on the app's website, cancel on that website.

Apple's instructions are on its cancel a subscription page; for Android purchases, see the Google Play subscriptions page.

FlexTV-specific notes. The listing asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. With Weekly VIP, that deadline comes around quickly, so the safest habit is to cancel the same day and watch until the week runs out. If FlexTV isn't in your subscription list, you probably bought a one-time purchase, which doesn't renew.

Refunds go through Apple's refund page. The same steps for other apps are in our cancellation guide.

Who FlexTV suits

  • Viewers who want Asian dramas too. The developer says it carries K-, J-, C-dramas and Southeast Asian titles alongside Western ones.
  • People who watch on a TV. Casting "with a single tap" is a listed feature, along with playlists and variable playback speed.
  • Monthly payers. If you'd keep VIP for weeks, the $49.99 Monthly VIP is the line to look at, not the weekly one.

It suits less well anyone after a cheap week, or anyone who wants to know the free allowance before installing.

FlexTV vs TotalShort

TotalShort is our app, made by Agape Group GmbH, the company behind this site, so weigh this section with that in mind. The two apps are very different in size.

FlexTV TotalShort (our app)
Catalog Short dramas, reels, movies and mini series, Western and Asian (developer's claim) 6 Italian series
How it's made Not stated; "fully licensed" titles, per the description Made with AI, every series labeled "AI series" (no real actors)
Free episodes Not stated on the listing First 8 of every series, plus 1 free a day per series
Platforms iPhone (US App Store, read for this review) Android (Google Play) only; iPhone version coming soon; no web player
Ratings 4.49 from 7,450 (US App Store) Brand new, no public rating yet
Pricing US dollars: Weekly VIP $29.99, Monthly VIP $49.99 Euro: VIP €5.99 a week or €59.99 a year; 30 coins (€0.30) an episode

FlexTV wins on catalog breadth, languages, TV casting and an iPhone app available today. TotalShort states a free allowance for every series, keeps coins from expiring, asks before every unlock and lets you start as a guest with no sign-up. Its stories are set in Italy, with Italian audio and subtitles in 13 languages including English; some series also have English audio. After the 8 free episodes, finishing a 12-episode series costs 4 × 30 = 120 coins, or €1.20.

Frequently asked questions

Is FlexTV legit?

Yes. FlexTV is sold on the official App Store by YUDER PTE. LTD., whose "Pte. Ltd." suffix is a Singapore company form, and has been listed since October 20, 2022. It was updated to version 4.8.9 on October 11, 2026, and holds 4.49 stars from 7,450 US ratings, read October 15, 2026. Payments go through Apple. Legit doesn't mean cheap: Weekly VIP is $29.99.

How much is the FlexTV subscription?

The US App Store listing shows two subscriptions: Weekly VIP at $29.99 and Monthly VIP at $49.99. Both are billed to your Apple ID and renew automatically. Four weeks of Weekly VIP comes to $119.96, against $49.99 for one Monthly VIP, assuming it covers a month as named. Prices vary by country and over time, so the payment sheet in the app is what counts.

Is FlexTV free?

The download is free, but the listing doesn't say how many episodes are free or what each one-time purchase ($4.99 to $29.99) contains. Start the series you want and check where the first locked episode appears, then decide whether a purchase or a single VIP period, cancelled right away, is cheaper. Ignore sites offering free VIP or unlimited coins.

Is FlexTV the same as FLEXTV by FLEXUP?

No. The App Store also has an app called "FLEXTV" published by FLEXUP CO.,LTD, and it is a separate app from a different company. The FlexTV covered here is "FlexTV: Short Drama, Reels, TV" from YUDER PTE. LTD., app id 1645515419. Check the seller name on the store page before installing or paying.

How do I cancel my FlexTV subscription?

On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose FlexTV and tap Cancel Subscription, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Removing the app does not cancel the plan; you keep access until the paid period runs out. For billing questions, use My, then Customer Support in the app, or email service@flextv.cc.

What kind of dramas does FlexTV have?

The developer lists romance, suspense, time travel, CEO, billionaire, werewolf and warrior stories, among others, and says the catalog mixes Western hits with K-dramas, J-dramas, C-dramas and Southeast Asian titles, "all fully licensed", with multilingual subtitles and new episodes daily. These catalog claims are the company's own; we haven't counted or checked the titles.

Can I watch FlexTV on my TV?

The App Store description says you can "cast to your TV with a single tap", and it also lists playlists, watch history and variable playback speed. The developer's website is flextv.cc, but we didn't check whether it plays episodes, so the iPhone app is the route the listing confirms. It needs iOS 15 or later.
