About this site
This site compares short drama apps: the apps for vertical, minute-long series that Sensor Tower estimated earned about $700 million worldwide in Q1 2025. It is run by Agape Group GmbH, a company based in Basel, Switzerland, which also makes TotalShort, a short drama app with Italian series.
We're telling you this first because it shapes everything on the site. We have a product in the category we write about. You deserve to know that before you read a single comparison.
What we make
TotalShort is an app of Italian short drama series, made with AI and labeled "AI series" on every title. The first 8 episodes of every series are free, plus 1 free episode a day per series. It's on Android through Google Play now; the iPhone version is coming soon. It has six series, no live actors, and no public rating yet because it's brand new. You can read more on the TotalShort page or at totalshort.com.
Why we built this site
When we looked at what people find when they search for the best short drama apps, we found lists with self-assigned scores like 9.8 out of 10, visitor counters and "Visit App" buttons, with little sign of where the facts came from. We think a reader choosing an app that charges weekly deserves better: facts from official sources, each with a date, and an honest statement of who is writing.
Our editorial policy
- Official sources only. We read App Store and Google Play listings, the apps' own terms and help centers, and their websites. The full method is on how we rate apps.
- Every fact dated. Each page lists its sources with the date we read them.
- Nothing invented. No made-up scores, no claimed test periods, no user numbers we can't show you. Where a source is silent, we say so.
- Our app first, and labeled. TotalShort appears at the top of every ranking as "Our app", with its limits stated. Every other app is ordered by its number of US App Store ratings, not by our taste.
- Original writing. Our pages are written for this site. We don't copy text from other review sites.
- No piracy. We don't point to unofficial copies, modified apps or "free coins" sites, except to warn against them.
No paid placements
No other app pays to appear on this site, to be listed higher or to be described more kindly. We don't use affiliate links for rival apps, and we don't link to them at all: they're named in plain text so that you can find them yourself in your app store. The only commercial interest on this site is our own app, and it's disclosed on every page that ranks apps. Our disclosure page sums it up.
